Delete Your Data

Huglet uses an account and a server so your hugs can reach the person you connect with. You are always in control and can delete your data yourself, at any time.

Delete individual items

Open your history in the app, tap the menu (⋮) on any drawing, note, touch or wallpaper and choose Delete. Either of you can delete a hug, and it is removed for both of you, with its picture on our server. A copy already showing on a widget stays there until the next hug replaces it.

Disconnect from a person

Open that person in Huglet and choose Disconnect from the menu (⋮). This ends the connection for both of you, stops any future hugs in both directions and removes the hugs exchanged between you, with their pictures. Connecting again takes a new invite code. You can also Block someone instead, which keeps the connection closed until you unblock it.

Delete your whole account

In the app, open Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, your connections, all content you have stored (drawings, notes, patterns, wallpapers), your permissions, and your push token from our servers. Because a connection involves two people, the hugs exchanged within each of your connections are removed with it, and a copy already showing in someone's widget is cleared on its next refresh. We also ask RevenueCat to delete the customer record linked to your account. This cannot be undone. An account that has not been used for 24 months is deleted automatically in the same way.

If you can no longer open the app

Email vitp.work@gmail.com with the subject Data Deletion Request from the email linked to your account (if you linked one), or include your Huglet display name and, if you have it, your account ID from Settings. We will verify and delete your data, and confirm when it is done — within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What may remain

Subscription receipts held by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our payments partner RevenueCat are governed by their own policies and may be retained for legal and accounting reasons; they do not contain your hug content. Crash and usage data held by Google (Firebase) is tied to a random app identifier, not your name, and expires on Google's schedule (at most 14 months). Advertising data that Google AdMob and its partners received while you used the free version is governed by Google's policies; you can reset your advertising identifier in your device settings and change your ad choices in Settings → Privacy settings. A report you filed about someone else's content may be kept for as long as needed to handle it. Backups and technical logs are purged on a rolling basis.
