Impossible Taxi: Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Impossible Taxi app (hereinafter "Application") for iOS and Android mobile devices, developed by Vadim Plămădeală (hereinafter "Service Provider") as an ad-supported service with an optional one-time purchase. This service is provided "AS IS". Last updated: 20 October 2026.

What the Application collects

Impossible Taxi does not require an account and does not ask for your name, e-mail address or any contact details. Your progress (levels completed, settings) is stored only on your device and in your device's standard backup (Android Backup, iCloud), under the control of your operating system.

The Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device:

Google AdMob (advertising). Serves banner, interstitial and rewarded ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland a consent form is shown before any ad is loaded, and you can change your choice at any time from the Application's settings. Without consent, only non-personalised ads are shown — declining does not remove ads, it only makes them non-personalised. On iOS, the Application asks your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before the advertising identifier may be used; if you refuse, ads are not personalised. In US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for advertising through the same privacy options. See Google's privacy policy.
GameAnalytics (gameplay statistics). Receives anonymous events such as "level 12 started / completed / failed" and the time taken, plus a random installation identifier, so that level difficulty can be tuned. It is started only after the consent step above. See GameAnalytics' privacy policy.
Sentry (crash reporting). If the Application crashes, a technical report (device model, OS version, the crashing code path) is sent so the bug can be fixed. No personal data is attached. See Sentry's privacy policy.
Google Play Games Services / Apple Game Center (achievements). If you are signed in to Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iOS), the Application reports unlocked achievements to it. Your profile there belongs to your Google or Apple account and is governed by Google's or Apple's privacy policy; the Service Provider receives no personal data from it. Playing without signing in works fully.
Google Play Billing / Apple App Store (the optional one-time "Pro" purchase: no ads, unlimited hints, all taxi colours). Payment is handled entirely by the store; the Application only learns whether the purchase exists.

Network requests made by the Application

Besides the services above, the Application downloads two small public configuration files from the Service Provider's website (ad frequency settings and the latest version number). These requests contain no personal data.

Children

The Application is intended for adults and teenagers aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

Withdraw or change advertising consent from Settings → Privacy options inside the Application (shown where the law requires it), and on iOS from the system Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Reset or limit the advertising identifier in your device settings.
Remove all ads with the one-time purchase; the analytics and crash services remain active.
Uninstalling the Application (or clearing its storage on Android) removes all locally stored progress. How to delete everything, including data held by the services above: Delete your data.

Security

The Service Provider relies on the security measures of the third-party services listed above and stores no server-side data about you.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Application after a change means you accept the updated policy.
