Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Mathine app (listed in the stores as "Mathine: Math Factory Puzzle", hereinafter "Application") for iOS and Android mobile devices, developed by Vadim Plămădeală (hereinafter "Service Provider") as an ad-supported game with an optional one-time purchase called Pro. This service is provided "AS IS". Last updated: 20 October 2026.

What the Application collects

Mathine does not ask for your name, e-mail address, phone number or any contact details, and it has no chat. Your factory, progress and settings are stored on your device.

To keep a copy of your factory in the cloud and to let you build together with friends, the Application creates an anonymous account on the Service Provider's server the first time it connects: a random identifier and a secret key, kept in the Application. The server stores, linked to that identifier:

  • a copy of your saved factory (the buildings you placed, your progress, upgrades and statistics);
  • the shared worlds you create or join with an invite code: their factory, the building actions of every member and a generated player name (for example "Engineer 4821"). Members of a shared world see each other's generated names and constructions; nothing else about you is shown to them;
  • the feedback messages you choose to send from the Application, together with the app version, your device model and operating system version, so that the problem can be reproduced. They are delivered by e-mail to the Service Provider.

The server runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which processes this data on the Service Provider's behalf. Feedback e-mails are delivered by Resend. See Cloudflare's and Resend's privacy policies.

The Application also uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device:

  • Google AdMob (advertising). Serves banner, interstitial and optional rewarded ads (for example a short production boost you choose to watch an ad for). It may use your device's advertising identifier and your approximate location derived from the IP address. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland a consent form is shown before any ad is loaded; in US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information in the same form. On iPhone and iPad, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether ads may use the advertising identifier. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalised. See Google's privacy policy.
  • GameAnalytics (gameplay statistics). Receives events such as "request 12 completed", the time played, performance measurements (frame and simulation timings), the device model and OS version, plus a random installation identifier, so that difficulty and performance can be tuned. It is started only after the consent step above. See GameAnalytics' privacy policy.
  • Sentry (crash reporting). If the Application crashes, a technical report (device model, OS version, the crashing code path) is sent so the bug can be fixed. No personal data is attached. See Sentry's privacy policy.
  • Google Play Games Services / Apple Game Center (achievements and leaderboards). If you are signed in to Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iPhone, iPad), the Application tells that service which achievements you earned and your scores on leaderboards such as the daily puzzle, linked to your player profile there. The Application itself does not receive your name or e-mail address. See Google's and Apple's privacy policies.
  • Google Play Billing / Apple App Store (the optional Pro purchase). Payment is handled entirely by the store; the Application only learns whether the purchase exists.

Network requests made by the Application

Besides the services above, the Application downloads two small public configuration files from the Service Provider's website (ad settings and the latest version number). These requests contain no personal data.

Age

The Application is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed at children. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the Application, write to the address below and the related server data will be deleted.

Your choices

  • Change or withdraw your advertising consent at any time: in the Application open Settings → Privacy (ad choices). The option appears where the law requires a consent choice. Saying no does not remove ads; it only stops them being personalised.
  • On iPhone and iPad, change the tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings.
  • Remove all ads with the one-time Pro purchase; the analytics and crash services remain active.
  • Delete everything the server holds about you from the Application: Settings → Delete my data from the server. See Delete your data for all the options, including without the app.

Retention

Your anonymous account, cloud copy and memberships stay on the server until you delete them from the Application or by e-mail, and are deleted automatically after 24 months without any connection. A shared world is kept while it has members; when its owner deletes it, it is removed for everyone. Feedback e-mails are kept for up to 12 months. Crash reports are kept by Sentry for up to 90 days. Gameplay statistics, advertising data and achievement records are kept by GameAnalytics, Google and Apple under their own policies.

Security

All connections use encryption in transit (HTTPS / secure WebSockets). Only members of a shared world can join it, the secret key of your anonymous account never leaves your device and the server, and the Service Provider's credentials for the third-party services are kept on the server, not in the Application.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Application after a change means you accept the updated policy.
