Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Sliceward app (hereinafter "Application") for iOS and Android mobile devices, developed by Vadim Plămădeală (hereinafter "Service Provider") as an ad-supported game with an optional one-time purchase. This service is provided "AS IS". Last updated: 15 October 2026.

What the Application collects

Sliceward does not require an account and does not ask for your name, e-mail address or any contact details. Your progress (levels completed, best times, achievements earned, settings) is stored only on your device and in your device's standard backup (Android Backup, iCloud), under the control of your operating system. The Service Provider runs no server that stores data about you.

The Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device:

  • Google AdMob (advertising). Serves banner, interstitial and optional rewarded ads (for example the "look inside" help on a level). It may use your device's advertising identifier and your approximate location derived from the IP address. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland a consent form is shown before any ad is loaded; in US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information in the same form. On iPhone, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether ads may use the advertising identifier. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalised. See Google's privacy policy.
  • GameAnalytics (gameplay statistics). Receives events such as "level 12 started / completed / failed", the time taken, the device model and OS version, plus a random installation identifier, so that level difficulty can be tuned. It is started only after the consent step above. See GameAnalytics' privacy policy.
  • Sentry (crash reporting). If the Application crashes, a technical report (device model, OS version, the crashing code path) is sent so the bug can be fixed. No personal data is attached. See Sentry's privacy policy.
  • Google Play Games Services / Apple Game Center (achievements). If you are signed in to Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iPhone), the Application tells that service which achievements you have earned, linked to your player profile there. The Application itself does not receive your name or e-mail address. See Google's and Apple's privacy policies.
  • Google Play Billing / Apple App Store (the optional "Remove ads" purchase). Payment is handled entirely by the store; the Application only learns whether the purchase exists.

Network requests made by the Application

Besides the services above, the Application downloads two small public configuration files from the Service Provider's website (ad frequency settings and the latest version number). These requests contain no personal data.

Age

The Application is intended for people aged 18 and older and is not directed at children. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

  • Change or withdraw your advertising consent at any time: in the Application open Settings → Account → Privacy (ad choices). The option appears where the law requires a consent choice. Saying no does not remove ads; it only stops them being personalised.
  • On iPhone, you can change the tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings.
  • Remove all ads with the one-time "Remove ads" purchase; the analytics and crash services remain active.
  • Erase your progress by uninstalling the Application: it is stored only on your device. See Delete your data for everything else.

Retention

Progress stays on your device until you uninstall the Application. Crash reports are kept by Sentry for up to 90 days. Gameplay statistics, advertising data and achievement records are kept by GameAnalytics, Google and Apple under their own policies.

Security

All connections use encryption in transit (HTTPS). The Service Provider relies on the security measures of the third-party services listed above and stores no server-side data about you.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Application after a change means you accept the updated policy.
