Child Safety Standards

These are the child safety standards of Huglet (listed on Google Play as "Huglet: Couple Widget & Notes" and on the App Store as "Huglet"), developed by Vadim Plămădeală. They apply to the iOS and Android apps and to every part of the service. Last updated: 6 October 2026.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

Huglet prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualised content involving minors, sextortion and trafficking. Sending, storing or requesting such content, or using Huglet to contact a minor for any sexual purpose, leads to immediate removal of the content and permanent removal of the account, and is reported to the authorities as described below.

Huglet is for adults

Huglet is intended for people aged 18 and older and is not directed at children or teenagers. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it together with its data.

How Huglet limits exposure
  • There are no public profiles, no search, no discovery and no way to contact strangers: two people connect only when one of them shares a private invite code or link with the other.
  • The person receiving controls what each connection may send (drawings, notes, touches, wallpaper), sets daily limits and quiet hours, and can pause, disconnect or block at any time. These rules are enforced on our servers, not only in the app.
  • Content is shared only between the two connected people and is never published.

How to report a concern
  • In the app: use Report on anything you received, or on the person, and you can block them in the same place. Reports reach us directly, without leaving the app.
  • By email: vitp.work@gmail.com with the subject "Child safety". Anyone can write, with or without a Huglet account.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.

What we do with a report
  • We review child safety reports with priority, normally within 24 hours.
  • When we obtain knowledge of CSAM or other CSAE in Huglet, we remove the content, block and delete the accounts involved, and preserve the information the law requires us to keep for the authorities.
  • We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline and to the competent national authorities, including the police and the INHOPE hotline of the country concerned in the European Union, and we cooperate with law enforcement.

Compliance with the law

Huglet complies with the child safety laws that apply where it is available, including the obligation to report child sexual abuse material to the relevant regional and national authorities.
