These terms and conditions apply to the Huglet app (hereby "Application") for iOS and Android mobile devices, created by Vadim Plămădeală (hereby "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. Last updated: 18 October 2026.

Upon downloading or using the Application, you automatically agree to these terms. Please read and understand them before using the Application.

Huglet is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Application.

Huglet lets you connect with another person and, with their permission, send content that appears on their phone: a drawing or note in their home-screen widget, a recorded vibration ("touch"), and, on Android devices, a wallpaper. Some platform features are limited by the operating system — for example, iOS does not allow apps to change the wallpaper, and custom vibrations on iOS play when the app is opened. The Application states these limits clearly where they apply.

Huglet only works between people who have connected to each other, and the recipient always controls what may be sent to them, including daily limits, quiet hours, pausing, and blocking. You agree to use Huglet respectfully and only with people who want to receive from you. You must not use Huglet to harass, threaten, impersonate, or send content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes others' rights. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users: we act on reports within 24 hours, removing the content and the account that sent it when these terms were broken. Child sexual abuse and exploitation is never tolerated; see our Child Safety Standards.

You are responsible for the content you create and send. You retain ownership of your drawings, notes, and patterns; you grant the Service Provider a limited licence to store and deliver them to your intended recipient and to keep them in your history where you have that feature. Recipients can report content; reported content may be reviewed and removed.

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping any linked sign-in secure. The Application requires an internet connection to send and receive; features may not work over some mobile networks, and data charges from your provider may apply. Some features (such as widget refresh timing and background vibration) depend on your device's operating system and battery settings, which are outside our control.

The free version of Huglet is supported by ads from Google AdMob: a single banner on the screen where you draw or write, a full-screen ad shown only after you finish sending something, and, only if you choose it, an ad you can watch to use a Huglet Plus feature once. An unlock earned this way is for that one use, has no money value and can't be transferred. We never show ads when you receive a hug or on the widget. Huglet Plus removes all ads. How ads use your data, and how to change your choices, is explained in the Privacy Policy and in Settings → Privacy settings.

Huglet's core — connecting with one person and sending notes and drawings to their widget — is free, up to 10 notes and drawings and 30 simple touches a day. Huglet Plus is an optional subscription that unlocks extras such as connecting with more people, no daily limits, recorded custom vibrations, remote wallpaper on Android, unlimited history, cloud backup, premium inks and brushes, and no ads. Plus is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription (the yearly plan may include a free trial) and a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renew automatically until cancelled; manage or cancel them in your store account settings. A free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region. Refunds are handled by the app stores under their policies.

The Service Provider may update, change, or discontinue the Application or any feature. We aim to keep the free core available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Updates may be required to keep using the Application.

The Application is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Application. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.

You may stop using Huglet and delete your account at any time (see Delete Your Data). We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. An account that has not been used for 24 months is deleted automatically with its data.
