Child Safety Standards

These are the child safety standards of Mathine (listed in the stores as "Mathine: Math Factory Puzzle"), developed by Vadim Plămădeală. They apply to the iOS and Android apps and to every part of the service. Last updated: 20 October 2026.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

Mathine prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualised content involving minors, sextortion and trafficking. Using Mathine to contact a minor for any sexual purpose leads to the permanent removal of the accounts involved and is reported to the authorities as described below.

Who Mathine is for

Mathine is a puzzle game intended for people aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13.

How Mathine limits exposure
  • There is no chat, no messaging, no free text, no photos, no voice and no names chosen by players: every player appears with a generated name such as "Engineer 4821".
  • There are no public profiles, no search, no matchmaking and no way to find strangers. Players meet only in a shared world, which can be joined only with a private invite code that one of them shares with the other.
  • Inside a shared world, players can only place and remove machines on the common factory. The owner can remove a member and change the invite code at any time.

How to report a concern
  • By email: vitp.work@gmail.com with the subject "Child safety". Anyone can write, with or without the app. If possible, include the name of the shared world or the generated player name.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.

What we do with a report
  • We review child safety reports with priority, normally within 24 hours.
  • When we obtain knowledge of CSAE connected to Mathine, we block and delete the accounts and shared worlds involved, and preserve the information the law requires us to keep for the authorities.
  • We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline and to the competent national authorities, including the police and the INHOPE hotline of the country concerned in the European Union, and we cooperate with law enforcement.

Compliance with the law

Mathine complies with the child safety laws that apply where it is available, including the obligation to report child sexual abuse material to the relevant regional and national authorities.
